What I feel after my first week

I started the week feeling really good as I had meditated on Monday and Tuesday. Monday was more of a slow day for me as I was settling into living in a new space and letting go of everything that I thought my life was about.

Monday night still had the energy of the Full Moon and so I did a letting go ceremony where I wrote down everything I was letting go of and then burnt it. This is a great technique for me because I am visual so anything visual is more powerful for me. It is interesting that EFT has never felt right because it is visual in some way. After I did the letting go I wrote down what I was bringing in and then burnt that. It felt amazing.

I must admit it has been nice having someone else to cook for as when you cook for yourself it can be hard and not always motivating.

Tuesday I again meditated and this is a habit I want to really get into as I know how helpful it is for me. Where I live has a back yard and a Hills Hoist which I have not seen since I was a child. I put my washing on it and it was so fun to spin it as I was putting the clothes on. My inner child was having so much fun.

I am grateful that my friend took me shopping on Tuesday as my laptop was getting hot and I need a cooling pad to help. It has already made such a difference to the laptop.

On Wednesday my friend and I did a road trip to Melbourne with my friend doing all the driving in terrible conditions. We had fun talking and singing all the way. My friends car is so nice and it made the drive very nice.

On Thursday we got up early to help my friend’s cousin as there is an expo on where she is having wedding clothes modelled. We also went to an art class to use pastels to do a drawing that was about flow. It was so awesome to see that although we had the same picture to draw, every one of them was different. The picture below is what I drew.

There was lots of work after this to get everything ready for the weekend at Mildura. Then an awesome dinner and early to bed.

On Friday we got up very early to leave for Mildura. My friend’s diesel car put diesel in her car and then as soon as she started it again there was a major issue as it had little power which is called a limp mode. My friend’s cousin had to go ahead whilst we tried to sort it out. The dealer in the city of Melbourne was very unhelpful and thankfully a friend of my friend was able to help with a couple of ideas and we limped all the way to Bendigo. The dealer in Bendigo was amazing. The sorted the car out whilst we had lunch and thankfully it was an easy sort although the car will need to go into the dealer when we get home.

The photos below are along the way from Melbourne to Bendigo as there was such lovely scenery.

On Friday we got up early again (thank goodness I am a morning person) to go into the pop up shop to help with anyone coming in to try on the bridal, mother of the bride, bridesmaid, and debutant dresses. It really helps your brain if you are continually doing new things and I am grateful that I pick things up quickly.

I got to have a look around the town at one stage which nice as there are different shops in country towns compared to the city. That night we had dinner at a local pup which was lovely although a little loud for me.

On Saturday another early morning and straight into the shop after breakfast. There were a lot of appointments that day and more got added along the way. I learnt a lot that day as I was able to focus on what the sales consultants were saying. Have you ever been in a shop and treated like you were the only person in the universe? This is what I saw when Julie Cini (the owner), Katie (manager), and Sandra who came from Brisbane and is a distributor for Justin Alexander, supporting the clients who came into the pop up shop. The journey support that they provided helped the bride go from not sure and uncertain to absolute joy and certainty. It was such an absolute joy to watch these amazing ladies work and if you are in Melbourne check out Miss Belle Bridal

That night we were invited to have dinner with the most amazing Greek people and I was so full from all the food. It has been a very long time since I have experienced this and I would love to have this experience more often. It is such a community feeling and I love it. It was early to bed when we got home. I haven’t been sleeping the best as I am on a trundle bed. I am truly grateful to even have a bed as I was a last minute inclusion.

Sunday was another very busy day with loads of appointments and having a Bridal Fashion Show. Loads of people came into watch the Bridal and Debutant Expo which also meant lots of walk ins. I had been listening and watching what the sales consultants had been saying when people were coming in so I was able to be useful. At the end of the day we packed everything up and placed it in the van to go back home the next day. That night we went out for Chinese which was so nice.

It was up early again on Monday as we took Sandra to the airport and then headed back to where we had the most amazing dinner as the chef had created the pizza bases for us. Before we left Mildura we decided to go to the Murray River and have a look. We got to see lots of houseboats of a couple of tourist paddle steamers. Now we had been using Google Maps as we didn’t know the area. We turned it on to help us leave the Murray River area and leave Mildura. Well that didn’t work out as Google Maps told us to turn left which was into the river not the other way. As we were driving it kept telling us to turn left. Haha. We ignored it

It was a very long trip back and I am so grateful to my friend as she was so amazing with driving all that way and doing a couple of stops we arrived back just before midnight. I am so truly grateful for the time and experience as if I hadn’t moved here to Sydney I would have still been isolating myself. Now I feel more like myself again.

Till next time.
